On May 31, 2024, the AAPI Heritage Month Celebration was held in a restaurant. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was a bit loud but had a very chatty atmosphere. People were talking, laughing, and taking pictures everywhere I looked. It was a very happy and celebratory place.
I ended up meeting some amazing people, whom I interviewed.
I first met up with Montgomery County's Sheriff Maxwell Uy. Max Uy has been Montgomery County’s Sheriff since 2022. He is also the first Asian American to hold that position.

Finally, I had the chance to meet Praneel Suvarna, who is the student-elected BOE member of 2024.
